Weekly Use of Sausages Leading to Cancer: Expert

TEHRAN, Oct 18 (Mehr News Agency) – “Eating Sausages for two or three times a week leads to different types of cancer in a long time,” Dr. Mas’oud Kimiagar, an expert of nutrition told the Mehr News Agency here on Friday on the occasion of the World Food Day.

“Overusing fast food, with harmful components such as nitrate and nitrite, leads to different types of cancers, digestive systems in particular,” Kimiagar said.

 

He mentioned immigration and civilization as the main causes of developing poor nutrition in the society, adding that it causes physical and psychological diseases in the society.

  

Kimiagar, who is also an instructor at Shahid Beheshti University, said that one out of six Iranian children grows badly, adding that unfortunately, in Iran, shortage of food is not the only cause of nutrition diseases, there are so many diseases such as heart diseases and different types of cancers which are caused by overeating.
